HEART COHERENCE

Stress and Heart Coherence

What is the influence of Heart Coherence on Stress?

As support in an integral and holistic PTSD and trauma recovery trajectory, progressive

a simple computer application.

The concept of 'heart coherence' primarily refers to a certain favorable physiological state and the accompanying increase in a sense of calm. The discovery in the neurobiology of the emotional brain and its relationship with the body on the one hand, and the intellectual brain on the other, has been a breakthrough that will allow us to take a whole new direction in the field of emotion management over the next fifty years. .

Breathing is unique because it is regulated by

the autonomic nervous system, but also by the conscious will. With this it is our access to the functions of us

autonomic nervous system.

Conscious breathing is the link between body and mind (body and mind).

Our nervous system, and therefore our entire system, has four states that are very recognizable to everyone:

Safety.

Fight or Flight.

Immobilization or Freezing.

Pass out

Each of these states has its own physiology that encompasses all the vital functions of our entire biological system and is completely different from each other.

With regular effortless breathing you achieve a safe state of the nervous system through the regulation by the heart. This is the basis of heart coherence. In the image below you can see the difference between the effect of someone showing "frustration" (no heart coherence) and someone showing "appreciation" (heart coherence).

See below a graphical representation of the heart rate of someone experiencing frustration ("frustration") and also a graphical representation of someone experiencing appreciation.
